Using ECS Help

When viewing Help, you can maximize the Help window or resize it to suit your liking. Use the buttons in the upper-right corner to resize the Help window.

To:	Do this:
Minimize the window	Click Minimize to shrink the window so it is displayed in the button bar on the bottom of the Windows Desktop. Right-click this button and select Restore to display the window.
Maximize the window	Click Maximize to maximize the window so it occupies the entire desktop area.
Restore the window to its default size	Click Restore to restore the window to its default size.
Manually resize the window	Place the pointer over the horizontal or vertical edge of the window so it turns into a line with arrows on each end. Press the left mouse button and drag up, down, left or right. The window is resized after you release the mouse button.

Help opens in a Web browser. Topics in ECS help include a variety of navigation components.

Click underlined text to display a picture of the screen showing the result of a step instruction.

Click underlined Alternative to step X to see an alternative to the instructions for the step where this appears.

Click underlined Tip text to display additional information about the topic or steps you are following.

Click underlined Example text to display an explanation of the subject of the topic in use.

Click underlined Topic Titles listed under the See Also heading (see below) to open topics related to the open help topic.

You can close the left-hand pane of the Help window to view more of the Help text and reopen it to facilitate navigation.

Close the left-hand pane	Click at the top right of the pane.
Open the left-hand pane.	Click on one of the tabs (Contents or Search).
